[Love Life And Lose Weight] 15: Mind Control

Mind Control is about developing the skillset of controlling thinking patterns or allowing thoughts to slow down or even stop altogether.  Meditation is one form of mind control. that allows you to practice the skillset of slowing the cadence of your active thinking.

Why is meditation helpful for weight loss?

We know that when we intend to stop overeating, what gets in the way are patterns of thinking that create feelings we try to avoid, distract, or react to by eating.

Meditation is a proactive practice that will help you keep those patterns of thinking or feelings that drive overeating from gaining so much momentum that it is hard to refrain from overeating. Meditation helps you center internally to a state of being without active thinking. This creates a parasympathetic response in the body that allows your nervous system to return to its home base or homeostasis and generates a feeling of well-being.

Mediation creates a path or practice to reaching well-being no matter what is going on in your life; you can hit the pause button on the momentum of thinking that you habit a habit of eating over.  This pause button of your meditation practice is an access point to that well-being. When you know how to get there, you know relief is never far away, for you can always return here again and again as needed. When you know how to access relief and well-being, there is no longer a need to overeat to feel better.

I’m an advanced certified weight and life coach who holds a master’s degree in education. I don’t just talk about weight loss; I work full-time as a coach. More than that, I live the lifestyle. My story is powerful proof that the diet industry is broken, and it can and will break you too, unless you are willing to leave it all behind you. We were sold a lie about weight loss that blames the dieter for a lack of self-control in a system that demonizes food as good or bad. That all can stop for you today, too.
